Can I get a drumroll please??
dumdumdumdumdumdum….
TODAY WAS THE FIRST FULL DAY OF CAMP!!! And boy did we really do it big!
We started off with classes in the morning, and ended the day with drumming on the beach (hence the drumroll).
First, we all had music class together with our lovely new music teachers (but we will introduce them properly tomorrow). Then, we split into groups and rotated through pottery, sports, and painting.
We have a new pottery teacher, Julia, who will be joining us a few times a week. She already got us started on some beautiful projects!
Zach led sports class on the blacktop, and it was an exciting soccer-basketball hybrid game. I’m not sure what we call it, but what counts is that we looked good doing it!
Finally, Judy helped us all get ready for the SUPERHERO’S BALL that is coming up soon. Hannah H. got a head start on the decor for the event.
Peter and Cy opted to stay inside and work on a special project with Madeline. Stay tuned for more details about our upcoming art show!
After classes ended, we got in some quality porch time before we stuffed our faces at lunch.
After lunch we got a crucial rest period and headed for a late afternoon at the beach. We decided on a late start because we wanted to stay for DRUMMING and a COOKOUT!
Paul has reached the epitome of relaxation.
Nathan is already practicing for the Superhero’s Ball!
Michael H. turned 40 this year and loves showing off the photo book of his party! He even had an Elvis impersonator.
After we chatted and swam the whole afternoon away, Rick arrived with the drums, and we danced and sang until the sun went down!
Joey got the drums all warmed up for us!
Adina and Kyle preferred to watch all the festivities from the water in their private yacht.
With all the fun that we are having, Hudson knows that hydration is key!
S’mores are never a bad dessert option!
The sunset was so dazzling that we all stumbled home and into showers, pajamas, and bed! We’re already dreaming about all the fun we’ll be having tomorrow.
Love,
Camp
