Gooooooood evening real world! Over at Camp Jabberwocky we had PROM tonight! We also did some other things during the day, like play rehearsal for the play that is Friday and Saturday at 7:30 with free ice cream after!
Buuuuut those things paled in comparison to the fact that we had PROM TONIIIIIGHT. The theme was Winter Wonderland/Mariah Carey’s Christmas Album. All the guys and girls at camp became ladies and gentlemen because they showered and shaved and put on their costume cabin finest, and the lucky ones who found their way into the potter cabin got their hair done by Jenn from West Chop and her daughters! Then we picked up our dates and met on the main cabin porch- sorry, this hip new bar called the Ice Cave- for some pre-dinner mocktails and some photos.
Sharon got her hair done by Jenn and looked even MORE gorgeous than usual!
Adrianne did Nancy’s makeup in the cabin as we were waiting for the boys to come pick us up!
Here comes Sam Stoddard, going through a serious interview process before he was deemed worthy enough to pick up his date!
Skye came over to Bandersnatch to get his date, as well, and he brought a flower for her! Nice move, Skye
Matt had a GREAT outfit for his first Jabberwocky Prom.
Dom found Shawn and invited him to prom! Nothing like old friends reuniting over a delicious cheese plate.

We even had some amazing servers waiting on us hand and foot! They served drinks and food and passed notes for us. Thank you ladies and waterboy!
There was a healthy dose of genderbending during prom, including this lovely couple: Hans and Scotlett.
Dolly Parton even made an appearance with her country man!
Paul, as usual, was way too cool for us to handle. Jeez, Paul. Jeez.
Conrad absolutely rocked his first prom at Jabberwocky. Great outfit, great date, great dancing. Well done, sir.

Sam could only stop by briefly before he had to make his way back to the air force academy. It was all very Top Gun.

OK AND THIS IS SUPER EXCITING NEWS: HOLLY AND MATT WENT TOGETHER TO PROM AND WERE VOTED PROM KING AND QUEEN! This is their first year at Jabberwocky, we love them and are so happy they are here!!!!

After all these photos, we sat down for a beautiful and delicious Winter Wonderland dinner at the Ice House, the restaurant adjacent to the Ice Cave porch bar. Then we got all hyped up on soda and headed down to the studio for our Prom dance! We got reaaaaaaal sweaty when we danced to some play songs because the play is Friday and Saturday at 7:30, as well as some classics and some more recent dance mixes. Of course, we ended the night with Journey and Beyoncé- is there any other way to end a prom?!
We want to say thank you for everyone who came by to help with prom, like Madeline and Jeff and Dan and Wallis and Eliza and Isabelle and Isabelle and Jenn and everyone else!! It would not have been so successful without you <3
Tomorrow we get to sleep in a teeeeeeny tiiiiiny bit and then start really buckling down for the play because it is Friday and Saturday at 7:30. We will be sure to think of something more exciting to post on the blog than just pictures of people trying to work on their lines. Perhaps black and white photos of people trying to work on their lines. oooOOOooooOOoooo.
