Hey everyone! In case you maybe forgot, today was the Fourth of July. And in America we like to celebrate the Fourth of July by watching parades and having cookouts and watching fireworks! At Camp Jabberwocky, though, we like to celebrate by BEING IN parades and eating Josh’s amazing food and falling asleep to the soothing sounds of fireworks in the distance.
Let us tell you about our day today…
This morning, we woke up to the amazing feeling of having all of our costumes 99.98% done! We celebrated with cereal and smiles.
Then, we started to put on our costumes, and stare in awe at our SUPER AWESOME CASTLE that Maggie and Mike and the gang helped create out of thin air!
Why do we have a castle, you ask? Oh, because our parade theme was:
Once Upon a Jabberwocky! A delightful mix of fairy tales, Disney movies, and The Princess Bride.
We stuffed all our costumes and props and some snacks and headed over to the high school to get ready to parade…
EDIT: Okay something happened with the changing of the guard and all the photos got deleted from this post so I just reposted them all in one big blob. Sorry there’s no more cute narrative. Just imagine it’s really cute.
