Today was one everyone’s favorite hectic days, changeover day. We let go of some of our favorite friends in order to welcome some of our other favorite friends.
While a lot people went over on the ferry to welcome the newcomers, some stayed back and went horseback riding. Here is Chris practicing his horse whisperer technique.
Peter chose to keep his distance, but wouldn’t miss out on a great photo opportunity.
Cy shows off good form.
We don’t only ride the horses, we participate in activities to strengthen our muscles, such as reaching for items and tossing them, as modeled perfectly here by our very own Gracey.
Due to the limited amount of time, we opted to go to Edgartown so that we would have time for an extra special evening activity.
Almost everybody got ice cream, but few were as happy about it as Gary.
Here’s Jeremy getting a shave… Wait! thats a spoon, and ice cream.
If you haven’t heard yet, we are having a 5k this coming weekend to raise money for camp. Since we have already advertised in Vineyard Haven and Oak Bluffs, we decided to take a shot at Edgartown.
Finally, for our evening activity we went to a special ceremony to honor Hellcat. (I guess she did something special, like founded camp, or something) We all sang a song to honor Hellcat, and she gave a speech that was, as I have been told, quite fitting.
After the ceremony, we had a very late dinner, and then a short free period before bed. Tomorrow things should be back to normal, or as normal as they can be at camp.
