Jabberwocky on Broadway!!

Today we woke up late, took it easy, and spent a few hours just kind of lounging around before dinner… JUST KIDDING IT WAS THE FOURTH OF JULY PARADE. We woke up late and spent a few hours screaming our faces off with thousands of our favorite strangers.

Our theme was Jabberwocky on Broadway, and boy did we all deliver some smash Broadway performances! Starting with the float- check this puppy out:

We had different groups of friends choose what classic Broadway musical they wanted to be, and then everyone worked super hard for about 48 hours straight to make some amazing costumes. We’re pretty sure Broadway will be calling Madeline, Hannah, Maggie, and probably all of us to come join their costume and set design teams. They make everything out of cardboard on Broadway, right?

We had people dressed up as characters from Mary Poppins, The Lion King, Hamilton, Chicago, The King and I, Hair, Cats, Sweeney Todd, Aladdin, Wicked, The Phantom of the Opera, Hairspray, and Grease! Look at how happy, glittery, and attractive we are:

As you can see, the parade was a preeeeeetty good time. We jumped and screamed and danced and partied our way through Edgartown with Rick and his merry band of drummers! AND we won the Special Award for our float, which I think means we won the parade.

Now we are stretching, yawning, and about to get some well-deserved shut eye, in preparation of what will certainly be another fantastic day tomorrow.

Love,

Camp
